Yucca, is a leafy pillar of strength in the Agave family. Lovely evergreen plants with sword-shaped leaves and annual clusters of white flowers. Yucca are native to the deserts of the Americas and grow as far north as Nevada and Utah. Held in the hand it decreases fear. Despite its laid back appeal, the Yucca has quite a few symbolic meanings. These include new opportunities, loyalty, protection and purity. The latter is probably derived from this palm's talents for recycling the air around it.
